Great first go at blogging....

Thanks to all of you (well most of you!!) for your very thoughtful comments. I know that not all of you enjoyed the film - but that would be the same for any film that we study as you all have different tastes ....

However I'm hoping that the film will provoke some thought amongst you and that you will be able to clearly (ha ha)use your work and ideas in the end of year examinations. Which are less than 10 weeks away.......

Welcome 12 ENG AC 2008

This is the first time that you will have visited this blog. Last year's Yr 12 used it as part of their viewing and reading responses.

Once answered the question posted below, feel free to have a read through some of their work....

Remember all responses must be as accurate aspossible (no txt) and appropriate. They are all moderated first and I won't post if it isn't....

Response to Run Lola Run : What did you think of the film? Why? Please give a detailed response and reason with examples.....

Remember to add your name....

Close Reading

Hi all

We have been linking our close reading and formal writing activities to themes and ideas generated by the Taming of the Shrew.

When we 'close read' unfamiliar texts in class such as newspaper or magazine articles, what do you find easy or difficult to do? Do you feel confident when you are asked to analyse a text? Can you easily identify language features or techniques? How do you know if a text is formal or informal?

Class Activities

In this unit we have used quite a few group based activities.
How did you find these? Do you prefer working in groups?
Which activities did you like or dislike?
